I just installed vista on my computer, and it will not read my linksys wireless usb network adapter. I really can't test vista unless I can get online. Please help.

Vista does not see my wireless adapter
I was finally able to get the wireless USB Linksys adapter to work on my PC. Here is how I did it:
1. Used the upgrade option from within Windows. (I’ve heard don’t do this, but tried it anyway.) 2. Downloaded current updates. Got a message stating that the Linksys Network WUSBG was not friendly with Vista. Continued with install/upgrade anyway. 3. After upgrade (this took about 2 hours on my system with what appeared to be a 30 minute stall), I went to Programs to Uninstall the Linksys WUSBG software and adapter. 4. Unplugged the usb adapter. 5. Rebooted the computer. 6. Re-plugged in the adapter. 7. Vista saw it immediately and installed the correct driver. 8. BINGO! Internet access with the wireless network.
Well, maybe not such a big Bingo afterall. It seems that the only way I can connect is if I remove WEP/WPA settings from the wireless network. Basically leaving everything open. I haven’t been able to solve this problem yet. Maybe someone else can. Linksys is not suppling new drivers for Vista at this time. (Router W54G). This might get some people started in the right direction though.

Do you think it would be logical that if a person is doing a clean install of Vista Beta 2 that they should unplug the USB adapter first, do the clean install, then plug in the USB adapter?

I have the same issues with a USR8022. Can only be used if the security is turned off. I've tried everything and have no idea where to go from here. USR has no plans to provide firmware upgrades either.
Anybody from MS reading these?
